Back home

The earplugs worked well enough to get a decent night’s sleep. All rested up and after having a great breakfast, we pack up and head off on the way home. The journey back is uneventful, and we arrive home just after midday. I’m feeling rather chuffed that it all went well. The one thing that I did pick up on is the fact that the tanks seem to be smaller. I know it is weird, but Putin reached reserve long before I’d expect it, yet the consumption does not seem to be higher. This makes me think that the knob who did the body work did not actually remove the dent on the tank, but rather just filled it in with putty and thereby decreased the capacity. I’d have to do a more scientific test to check if this is the case. Not much I can do about that now.

I have a feeling that it might be some time before we do another long trip, but I know it’s coming. In the meantime, Putin will just have to be happy with doing cafe runs.
